On this page, students and parents will be given the opportunity to view the various homework assignments. I will post the tasks on here as they are assigned in class.
Project #1: 1) You will need to click on the title, The Rainbow Fish, to listen and watch children read the book to you on You Tube. 2) Once you have finished listening to the story, you will need to make a list of at least five things, on a piece of paper, that you think are important in order to be a good friend. Some examples include being kind, honest, and funny. 3) Next, you will need a to cut out a fish, and have aluminum foil or glitter and colorful crayons/markers. Before you color or put glitter on the fish, you will need to write the traits that make up a good friend that you wrote in your list. You will then need to decorate your fish by using the foil or glitter as his scales and make it very colorful with the crayons or markers. 4) Once you have completed your project, you will need to either take a picture and upload, or scan your project onto the computer. It will then be easy for you to upload your picture directly to your Wiki, where your peers and I will be able to view it!
Project #2: For this next project, you are going to use word ladders to help build vocabulary words.
1) You will need to look at the first and last word of the word ladder, and the object is to change one letter in the word at a time to get a new word. For example, hug can turn into bug by changing only one of the letters. 2) Take a look at the clues next to the blank to help you think of the new word, by changing only one letter. 3) When you have figured it out, you should be able to continue down the ladder until the word will change into the one provided at the bottom. 4) Once you completed this activity, you can either type the word ladder on to your Wiki or scan your hand-written paper on to your page.
